Sep 19, 2018 I think for those Hi-res stuff you should use Audirvana and use exclusive mode + direct mode to get the exact bit+sample rate that your DAC gets. I wouldn't touch the interger mode since it's like Audirvana's filtering applied to tweak the sound therefore, not.
Fully enjoy your music with Audirvana: the high-performance universal audio playback software that makes music a priority on your computer, adapts its settings to your sound system, and offers you all the features you need to optimize your setup.

Discover version 3.5 for Windows 10
Audirvana is constantly evolving. This free update adds new features such as internal digital volume control, replay gain or album cover adjustment. It also allows you to be remotely controlled from your smartphone or tablet using the Audirvana Remote application available for Android and iOS. It’s up to you.
Turn your computer into a true high-resolution audio source
By taking control on your computer’s audio flow, Audirvana prevents other applications from interfering during listening and from making hidden changes to audio samples. It reduces CPU activity and stabilizes power supply to minimize digital distortion and possible radio frequency interference. Finally, it optimizes the operation of your system’s digital-to-analog converter – whether integrated or external – by providing it with an adapted and pre-decoded digital stream. See More
'So emotionally Involving'
I never had imagined, digital reproduced music could be so emotionally involving as with this set-up. Over and over, I find myself listening to the full album; for me one of the most important things, as this is the sole purpose of our efforts : listening to the music. Due to Audirvana my analog system is not being used a lot these days.

'Superior to Anything Else I've heard'
As a classical-music reviewer specialising in high-res downloads I have worked my way through most available media players. Audirvana Plus is several cuts above them all, especially in its latest guise (v. 2.2). Sound quality is vastly superior to anything else I have tried; also, Audirvana Plus offers very useful tweaks, a library function and a much improved interface. I really cannot recommend this product highly enough; Damien’s quick, courteous support is an added bonus.

'I cannot think of any enhancements needed'
Quite simply, I cannot think of any enhancements needed. This is very well conceived and executed on every level, demonstrating your deep understanding of the Mac hardware and software platforms. Audirvana Plus 2.0 appears to be a comprehensive solution for managing my music library to it’s best advantage. Very nice work, indeed.

'So organic and detailed'
Audirvana to me sounds so organic and detailed. Everything in the mix is so easy to follow and every sound has shape, body and space. I’m amazed software can make such a difference. Also, whenever I’ve heard systems I’ve considered to be detailed in the past, they are generally bright to give everything a lift and normally fatiguing and headache inducing as a result. Somehow Audirvana manages incredible detail without this trait at all.

'The best streaming'
I don’t often send emails like this… But am listening to your software with Qobuz and can safely say it is the best streaming I have ever heard…. Light years ahead of the other! Amazing.

What is the latest Audirvana version?
Is Audirvana for Mac compatible with Catalina?
Yes! Audirvana 3.5 for Mac is 100% compatible with Catalina, since 3.5.23.
Users will be able to continue to use iTunes synchronization and iTunes Integrated Mode (now Music in macOS Catalina).
What is the difference between Audirvana Plus and Audirvana?
None. We recently decided to simply name our software « Audirvana” and no longer “Audirvana Plus”. The « Plus » was originally added because we thought of having a premium version of the software. But down the road, deactivating features ion order to design a « basic » version seemed artificial. Now, this “Plus” is useless and creates confusion among some of our customers. Our brand name is our product: Audirvana, and that’s it.
What are the minimum system requirements?
Audirvana Plus needs at minimum:
- A 64-bit Mac (Core 2 Duo or later)
- OS X 10.11 (El Capitan) or later
- At least 2GB RAM
However, for best results, we recommend:
- 4GB RAM or more
On how many computers can I install Audirvana with a single license?
Per the EULA, it is permitted to ” make a second copy of the software for exclusive use on a laptop or personal computer of the same OS, provided that the software installed on such laptop or personal computer is not used at the same time as the software on the main computer. “
To install Audirvana on your second PC under macOS, you can proceed as for the first :
1) install trial version ;
2) unlock it using your license key.
Where is the license key I've purchased?
Did you receive the email from 2Checkout after your purchase?
It contains your license key that you enter to unlock the trial version of Audirvana.
For more details, you can refer to theinstallation instructions
I've lost my license key, how can I retrieve it?
The easiest way would be to find the 2Checkout email you received with your purchase. Finding this email is the easiest solution.
Otherwise, you can find it directly on 2checkout.com:
Go to “Shopper Support” on 2checkout.com
Then to “My Account”
You’ll need to use the email address used for the purchase and your order number.
And you’ll have access to your license key..
How can I transfer my license to a new computer?
To transfer Audirvana from one of your computers to another, you must first uninstall it completely from the first one:
Audirvana Plus Mac
- Use the Remove this computer’s authorizationcommand…in the General section of the Preferences page
- Delete the application file.
Then, you can reinstall Audirvana on the new PC, following the same procedure as for the initial installation.
I already have an Audirvana license for Windows 10. Am I entitled for a discount for the macOS version?
Of course, you are entitled to a 30% discount on your Audirvana license for macOS. Follow the “Already a customer?” link on the homepage.
I get one-second dropouts in the middle of a track.
The main reason for this is memory swapping to disk, namely the audio buffer currently playing.
This is due to insufficient memory available for storing the audio buffers.
To prevent this from happening, exit other memory-hungry applications (e.g. Safari), and/or reduce the maximum audio buffers size (Audio settings > Device capabilities)
I get some clicks about 3 to 10 times per second.
You probably have a pre-2008 Mac. Older Macs have a limitation in their USBport power supplies, causing a few samples to be set to 0 every ~16,000, and only in Integer Mode.
The audible results are clicks.
To continue getting the benefits of the Integer Mode, try this widely used workaround: Connect a powered USB hub between the DAC and the Mac (with only the DAC connected to the computer).
Why can't Safari, Chrome or any other application play sound during playback?
Audirvana takes exclusive access to the audio device (i.e. your DAC) during playback to be able to implement its sound signal optimizations.
Thus no other application (such as Chrome, Firefox,…) can send sound to the audio device used by Audirvana until it is in Stop mode.
If another application still tries to send sound during playback, macOS will try to find another available audio device for it.
When playback stops, Audirvana restores access to the audio device, and any other application can then use it.
Why is the macOS output switching to built-in output during playback?
Audirvana takes exclusive access to the audio device (i.e. your DAC) during playback to be able to implement its sound signal optimizations.
Audirvana takes exclusive access to the audio device (usually your DAC) to be able to apply its advanced optimizations during playback. Windows then tries to find another available audio device.
When playback stops, Audirvana restores access to the audio device, and any other application can then use it.
Can Audirvana play to my Airplay devices?
Audirvana Plus can stream to an AirPlay compatible device.
If you have a Mac of a mid-2011 model or newer, you can simply select “Airplay” as an audio device in the Audivana preferences on the Audio System page.
Otherwise you can use a third party software like AirFoil for doing that.
In addition, if iTunes is still running when using Audirvana, you must ensure that Airplay is disabled in iTunes and in the system preferences.
Note: The Airplay device can be hidden. To get it back, Option click on the loudspeaker icon on the menu bar. Select AirPlay in the selection menu that appears.

Is it possible to use an equalizer,... filters?
Since the 1.5 release, Audirvana Plus supports AudioUnit filter plugins. This can be configured in the audio Signal Processing sectionon the audio preferences page.
This gives access to the large number of EQ, room correction, headphone crossover filters available on the market.
And you can now use the equalizers provided in macOS.
Some audio tracks are not imported / do not show in the library
It is quite possible these audio files do not have the metadata tags that would have enabled them to be correctly catalogued and found easily. The title, the artist’s name, the album title,… must be missing.
In this case, they appear with only a title that is their filename. You can display the “File Location” column and sort by it to find them more easily.
In album view, files without metadata are grouped by folder, which are then displayed as albums.
How do I add my library from my NAS to Audirvana?
To reference files on a NAS in the Audirvana library, simply add the one or a few NAS directories that contain your music to the list to synchronize, in the Library section of the general settings page.
To do this, your NAS must be configured in “standard” sharing mode, i.e. file sharing (you can see these in the Finder).
Why doesn't Audirvana include my UPnP network drive in the audio devices?
First make sure that your Mac and your network drive are connected to the same local network, with no router in between.
Then check that no other UPnP applications are running on your Mac when you launch Audirvana. Only one application at a time can open the SSDP port (UDP 1900) at a time to detect UPnP devices.

What is the difference between A+ Remote and Audirvana Remote?
Audirvana Remote is the new version of A+ Remote (the plus has disappeared as for the computer software)
Why is Audirvana Remote not free?
Until this new version, there was no version for Android. The Audirvana product for Windows 10 (a large majority of which use Android) and the Mac product were therefore not quite comparable.
That’s why instead of increasing the price of the software for everyone we decided to charge for the iOS remote.
Now we can consider such an increase but it seemed more readable to us at this stage to align the price of Android remote with the iOS remote.
Where can I download the remote application?
You can buy the application for 9.99€ (8.99USD) on your app store:
– App Store for iOS users with this link: https://apps.apple.com/fr/app/a-remote/id1008281758
– Play Store for Android users with this link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.audirvana.aremote
What are the system requirements for Audirvana Remote?
Audirvana Plus For Windows 10
iOS: Audirvana Remote requires 11.4 or higher to run the application on your IPhone or IPad.
Android: Audirvana Remote requires Android 5 or later to run the application on your Android device .
Audirvana 3.5 is required to take advantage of all the Remote’s features.
How to stop reading completely?
In the playback view, press play/pause.
A “Stop” button is displayed, press it to stop Audirvana playback completely.
This will restore access to the audio device to other applications, and allow your computer to go into standby mode.
Audirvana Remote does not connect / find the Mac with Audirvana
- Make sure you have Audirvana version 2.2 or later open on your Mac, and in iTunes independent mode. iTunes must be closed.
If you are on a PC, make sure you have version 3.5 or higher open on your PC.
- Make sure that your Mac or PC and iPad/iPhone or Android device are connected to the same Wi-Fi (local network).Be careful if you have a 2.4 Ghz and 5Ghz connection possible, they are considered two separate networks by your Wi-Fi router.
For Windows 10 users, check your connection property: In Settings > Network & Internet > Check connection properties, make sure your Network profile is set to Private.
- Check the firewall settings:
– For Mac: In System Preferences > Security and Privacy > Firewall > Firewall Options > Automatically allow signed software to receive incoming connections check that this setting is selected and “Block all incoming connections” is not selected.
Audirvana Plus
– For PC: In Settings > Update and Security > Windows Security > Firewall and Network Protection > Allow an application via a firewall, make sure that the file audirvanaplus.exe is allowed to access the network.
- Restart your WiFi router because it may have a problem transmitting the connection used by Audirvana Remote (Like the Apple Remote app that controls iTunes, which can be blocked for the same reasons)
Audirvana Remote does not reconnect after a period of Mac inactivity
This is probably a standby of the network services of your Mac or PC
To avoid this, please check:
– For Mac: In System Preferences > Power Saver > Power Adapter > Reactivate when Wi-Fi access is available” must be selected.
Audirvana Plus Crack
– For PC: In Settings > System > Power and Standby and change your settings to “Never”.
